Year: S1, Ep1. Error: please try again. Idealistic young Dr. Lily Brenner, along with fellow doctors Mina Minard and Tommy Fuller, arrive in "la ciudad de las estrellas" the city of stars , a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic.

All of these young doctors are running away from personal demons, but they aren't the only ones with emotional baggage. They're introduced to the legendary and enigmatic Ben Keeton, who was the youngest Chief of Surgery at UCLA but who walked away from it all to found the clinic. Together with his right-hand doctor, Otis S1, Ep2.

When a foot anaconda snake takes hold of a wildlife photographer, Zee, Lily and Ben spring into action. Meanwhile Tommy learns a tough cultural lesson and Mina struggles to get along with new colleague Ryan. S1, Ep3. A live wire electrocutes a man and causes a blackout; a mudslide endangers a pregnant couple.

S1, Ep4. Mina struggles with her own moral code after learning the true identity of her patient, while Lily learns more about Ben's past and is tested on her first trip into the city. S1, Ep5. Although it was not held within a hospital I thought the storyline was great and it indeed left you wanting more.

I am very disappointed that it will not be returning. I am sure it is not only myself that would love it if the decision would in fact be reconsidered. But my point is: I was in. So you can imagine my disappointment when Off the Map was canceled after one season. For one thing, I thought the show was getting better and better, so I was bummed that people stopped tuning in. Oh, and did I mention how the show ended? Lily finds him, tries to tend to his multiple bullet wounds, and the series ends on the image of Lily holding him in front of a blazing field.

So not only did this show get canceled, but it went out on the biggest cliffhanger possible.
