Lines are usually long here. Fortunately, the queue is adorable, making the wait much more bearable. Of the various interactive play areas sprinkled throughout Epcot, one of our favorites is ImageWorks.

There are several hands-on activities available for kids of all ages here. This is a great place to stop if your little ones or you!

Surprisingly, the timeless film still looks like it could have been shot recently thanks to its recent upgrade to 4K. A slow-moving dark ride with plenty of visual gags, sound effects, and smells explaining the senses and a cute, purple dragon to boot, kids will love Journey Into Imagination, while adults might find themselves wondering when it will end or dreaming about the original attraction with Dreamfinder.

As much as adults love World Showcase for all the delicious drinks and food to be had, some small children might find it all a bit boring. Located at each country pavilion, these interactive booths allow kids of all ages to interact with cast members from around the world and collect unique souvenirs for each pavilion. We think these stations are great for keeping your kiddos entertained while you make your way around World Showcase, plus we love being able to chat with the cast members and learn a bit bout their home countries.

More for the adults than the kids, this boat tour sails you past a huge array of food crops from across the globe, as well as some unique farming methods. Ever wanted to be an astronaut? This NASA-style space flight simulator blasts you into the stratosphere where you and the rest of your crew play the parts of the flight team. There are 2 different experiences available here: the Orange Mission sends travelers on a thrillingly realistic flight to Mars thanks to centrifuge pulling 2. Although you may not think it, the G-forces created in the Orange centrifuge version are intense and can create heart problems or an upset stomach if you are predisposed to such issues.

Nestled at the base of the geodesic sphere at the exit to Spaceship Earth, Project Tomorrow: Inventing the Wonders of the Future is yet another interactive play area. This hands-on area boasts several futuristic activities, or at least they were futuristic at one time.

Now they just feel dated. That being said, it is fun to tinker around with the various games after riding Spaceship Earth, and kids will definitely like getting to try everything out.

Scamper your way through all the sights, sounds, and smells of a Parisienne restaurant with little Chef Remy by your side. Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Epcot as you gaze out over coral reefs teeming with life including sea turtles, rays, sharks, fish and more. This aquarium is quite large, and guests of all ages will love watching all the underwater antics, so be sure to set aside some time to explore. Fortunately, trivia questions in the queue help to pass the time.

Hidden inside the geodesic sphere that is the icon of the park, Spaceship Earth is an equally iconic ride. For this leisurely dark ride, guests embark on a slow-moving journey through time that tells the story of the evolution of communication from the creation of the Phoenician alphabet to the arrival of the computer.

Luckily, a revamp is in the works for some time in the future and will see the storyline focus on the history of storytelling instead. As the first ride you see when you enter the park, lines here can get really long at the beginning and middle of the day but shorten quite dramatically as the day wears on.

Fast your seatbelts for Test Track, an interactive thrill ride where you can design your own concept car, then take it for test drive to see how it stacks up to designs created by other guests in your ride vehicle.

Originally designed to mimic the safety tests cars are put through, this latest iteration still has you putting a vehicle through its paces including speed, handling, power, and more.

Creating your own car is half the fun of this ride; however, you only get the full experience by waiting in the standby line. Disney invented the "flying theater" ride concept with Soarin'. If a simulated hang-gliding ride sounds absolutely terrifying, the attraction is actually quite gentle.

Once passengers get over the initial sensation of rising into the air in the domed theater, even the most thrill-averse should be able to handle the experience. It is mostly slow movements that synchronize with projected travelogue-like scenes. When it first opened, Soarin' took riders over famous California landmarks. A makeover expanded the itinerary to international destinations including Australia and China.

Soarin' is not a thrill ride. But there are a few scenes in which passengers swoop down that are mildly thrilling—with an emphasis on "mildly. Thrill Scale: 2. Simulated hang gliding. Vehicles rise high into the air. I know what you're thinking: Whoever put this list together must have lost his mind. Frozen Ever After on a thrill ride list? If Soarin' isn't a thrill ride, then Frozen is even less of one.

But—and it's a big but—there is one moment that grabs passengers' attention. Towards the end of the attraction, the boat vehicles head down a drop and make a bit of a splash. We're not talking about a Splash Mountain-size drop here; it's much smaller than that. But it is a drop nonetheless. To help make it slightly more thrilling, the boats descend facing backwards, so passengers can't see the size of the drop or where they are heading.

Guests will first step into the Chevrolet Design Center to design their own virtual concept car. After your test is completed, the scoreboard will let you know how well you performed. This centrifugal motion simulator thrill ride aims to simulate the experiences aboard a NASA-style spacecraft on a mission to Mars. Guests will experience the g -force of liftoff as well as the more relaxing hypersleep stage.

Before climbing aboard, you will train on the X-2 Deep Space Shuttle for your mission. Each mission has a crew of 4 cadets who in turn takes on a specific role: pilot, navigator, commander, or engineer. Here, cadets are instructed to perform a mission-critical sequence.

Once training has been completed, you are now ready for liftoff on your mission through space. For the mission to be successful, you must slingshot around the moon and avoid the meteorites heading straight at you. Note: There are two missions to choose from. The Orange Mission is the more intense version, while the Green Mission is the tamer, family-friendly version which orbits the Earth. This attraction is not recommended for people with weak stomachs.

You will also see Anna, Olaf, and more of your Frozen friends on this voyage as many of your favorite Frozen songs play a supporting role. This attraction is perfectly suited for children.
